Terms of Service for DishMatch

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using DishMatch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

DishMatch is a mobile application that provides:

• Recipe discovery through swipe-based interface
• Grocery list generation
• Recipe saving and organization
• Dietary filtering and personalization

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DishMatch. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• One account per person; no sharing accounts

Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through the App
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy

Acceptable Use

You MAY:

• Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Save recipes and create grocery lists
• Share recipes through provided sharing features (when available)

You MAY NOT:

• Copy, modify, or distribute App content without permission
• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App
• Create accounts using automated means (bots)
• Spam, harass, or abuse other users or our support team
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Scrape or data mine recipe content

Subscription and Payment

Free Tier

• Unlimited recipe swiping
• Save up to 10 recipes
• Unlimited grocery lists
• All basic features

Premium Tier (When Available)

• Pricing will be clearly disclosed before purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled
• Cancel anytime through App Store/Play Store settings
• No refunds for partial subscription periods (per platform policies)
• Prices subject to change with 30 days notice

Intellectual Property

Our Content

• DishMatch owns all rights to the App, design, and branding
• Recipes may be sourced from public domain or licensed sources
• Recipe photos are used under license or public domain

User Content

• You retain ownership of your grocery lists and notes
• By using the App, you grant us a license to store and display your content
• You may export your data at any time

Recipe Information Disclaimer

Accuracy

• Recipe information is provided "as is"
• We make no guarantees about nutritional accuracy
• Cooking times and servings are estimates
• Ingredient costs are approximate averages

Allergens and Dietary Information

• Always verify ingredients if you have allergies
• Dietary tags (vegan, gluten-free, etc.) are provided for convenience only
• We are not responsible for allergic reactions or dietary issues
• Cross-contamination warnings are the user's responsibility

Food Safety

• Follow proper food safety guidelines when cooking
• We are not liable for foodborne illness
• Use your judgment when preparing and consuming food

Third-Party Content and Links

DishMatch may contain links to third-party websites or services. We:

• Do not endorse or control third-party content
• Are not responsible for third-party privacy practices
• Recommend reviewing third-party terms and policies

Limitation of Liability

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DishMatch from any claims arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the App
• Your violation of any third-party rights

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective:

• Immediately for new users
• 30 days after notification for existing users

Notification methods:

• In-app message
• Email to registered users
• Updated "Last Modified" date

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Contact us first at support@dishmatch.app. We'll try to resolve disputes informally.

Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court, except for:

• Small claims court disputes
• Intellectual property claims

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

Special Provisions

Beta Testing

If you're using a beta version:

• Features may be unstable or incomplete
• Data may be reset without notice
• Beta access may be revoked at any time

Free Tier Limitations

• 10 saved recipes maximum
• Subject to change with 30 days notice
• Grandfathered users may retain existing saves if limit decreases

Termination Effects

Upon account termination or deletion:

• Immediately lose access to saved recipes and lists
• Data deleted within 30 days (per Privacy Policy)
• No refunds for unused Premium subscription time
• May not create a new account if banned for violations

App Store Terms

Your use of DishMatch is also subject to:

• Apple App Store Terms (iOS users)
• Google Play Store Terms (Android users)

Updates and Modifications

We may:

• Update the App with new features
• Remove features with notice
• Temporarily suspend service for maintenance
• Discontinue the App with 90 days notice
